I work with non-profit organizations reward their supporters while fundraising. The program is part of what Amazon Smiles does but it also has a point system that leverages the community’s normal spending.Today I got to speak to a new non-profit who’s focus is helping women with cancer. Right now they are working on the Cinderella Project which helps girls with cancer be able to attend prom with donated dresses. Very worthy cause! From that meeting I got a referral and forever business thinking I told her that we should start up her group first then sponsor the referred church so that her group would have the leverage of the second group. YAY!

Do you ever just feel like you are doing what you are supposed to be doing with your life? I noticed that when I get to present, train new distributors and office staff of Non-profits and Health Professionals, and work the business with business minded individuals I feel a kinda buzz within. I feel alive and purposeful! I LOVE THAT!

Yesterday I got to talk with GMYS decision maker and they are launching a new website. I will have to write up the code to link their site up with their fundraising site (thank goodness that I learned how to program all those years ago!). I also have to write up templates of announcing the fundraising site. Once I get these items completed I have a system that new NPOs will be able to follow!

Later today I have a networking event with “over 200 Miami professionals”. I’m looking forward to this event! The other thing is that last week I had an event and someone wanted to talk to me about the business. As it turned out he was sick from the Thursday until Sunday, so he contacted me this morning and set up a quick appointment for 6p right before the event! I’m excited to talk with him.

A prospect contacted me about changing her presentation tomorrow morning to Thursday. The wonderful thing about this meeting is that she wants me to present to her and 2 other people who are interested in starting a business. The cool thing is that one is from Jamaica and the other is from England! Thankfully my company operates in both countries and delivers to over 200. Kinda Quick Update

Wow I wasn’t aware just how long I haven’t posted. Sorry for that!

Many things have happened since Convention. I have been attending 4 business/networking events per week along with meeting men – I won’t call it dating as they were just meetings. Also along the line I did get to spend quality time with Monster Boy.

OK I joined 2 mastermind groups. One specifically for my company and the other for entrepreneurs. And I took a webinar about focusing in on what I want and just laser focus until I get it. The first 2 steps were the normal steps: 1. What do you really want at this time of your life? and 2. Why do you want these?  The third step was 3. WHY DON’T YOU HAVE WHAT YOU WANT? This to me is such a new concept. I found out answering that some of the reasons that I don’t do or have something is that it really isn’t that important to me. Ask these 3 questions and you will see what is going on in your head and your motivations or lack there of.

Being that I have had so many experiences in the past 3 weeks I’ll just recap week by week. The first week I got to talk to a woman about assisting in fundraising for a non profit that helps single parents (mostly women) collect child support. I was so happy to hear that her mother who is also in this group empower the women by reminding them that they have to figure out how to manage without the checks. This helped many recipients go out and really make a difference in their lives! I was *So Proud* I spoke with 2 other non-profits that week who have to meet with their boards to get the ok. The second non-profit meeting was pleasant. The office manager understood within the first 5 minutes of the presentation and was ecstatic that we also had wellness products as she buys many vitamins and supplements.

During that same week I went out on 3 personal events. Funny enough I found out one was a swim dad’s cousin. One was a really great guy who lived 45 minutes away and the 3rd had a REALLY ROUGH Life since taking his picture.

The next week (last week) was a quieter week. I got to talk with a prospect who had just gotten out of prison. After presenting the marketing plan we got to talking and he said something that blew my mind. He said that a person in jail and a financially free person live very similar lifestyles. I didn’t know what he meant so he clarified. When a person is financially free they have the time freedom to do anything they want and the money to actually do those things. In comparison when a person is in jail they have the time freedom to read, study, workout, etc. Granted they are on a strict schedule and aren’t free to do everything they want, but really think about it. I’m not saying that one should aim to go to prison. However isn’t the reason one works is to have the money to go out and LIVE… I don’t know many people who plan to work just to barely survive! Keep that in mind when someone asks you to watch a business plan to work for yourself!

I also got to talk with 1 non-profit and 2 other prospects. What amazed me was the mentality of the person from the non-profit group. She has a great program with inner city kids mostly high schoolers teaching empathy. I completely stand behind her cause. What shocked me was when we talked about fundraising! For those who don’t know I work with non-profits as a consultant to implement fundraising initiatives that financially benefit supporters. Yes you read that right I help non-profits fundraise WITHOUT asking for money by helping their supporters Save money and Earn Cash Back buying 95% of what they are already buying. For 35 minutes this person kept telling me that I need to help her sell her books! It wasn’t until I used the example of going to Macy’s finding a dress that she likes, using her phone to scan the bar code, buying it from her phone for cash back, and walking out with the dress that day! It took a few minutes for her after I said that to wrap her head around what I was talking about. I saw the light click on! She wrote a couple days later to tell me that she will contact me in 60 days as she needs to focus on the lesson plans.

I got to see the cousin a couple more times. He is a great guy. I just don’t think he is right for me. Last Sunday he texted me late in the evening to tell me that he was nursing a hangover! All I could think was “at 45 years old you still can’t figure out how to hold your liquor!” Oh well at least it happened very early!

Speaking of last Sunday my son got a rude awakening when I took him to a college fair. He was overwhelmed by the amount of colleges and this was a small fair. I had been telling him to start narrowing down colleges and his reply was always “Woman! I have 4 years!” The best part is that we learned how to filter colleges by parameters. Being that he wants to swim in a small to medium school that brought the number down to 155, When he put housing and no religious affiliation the number dropped to 46! THANK GOODNESS! After the fair we met with a summer program in Nice, France. They were Fantastic and we are both excited! Now it’s the task of getting his father to agree AND pay half! I’ll keep you updated!

OK now we are up to this week! I went to an Amazing event at UM, I got to see Rony Abovitz CEO of Magic Leap speak. I was so inspired by his talk as it fit in perfectly with what I had learned in a few other events but for some reason it resonated all the way down to my core. Click here to watch the talk. Afterwards I got to talk to him. I asked how do I go about growing my brand (how I see what I do) when so many people have such a misconception of what exactly I do. He recommended that I read the book Blue Ocean Strategy. By the next day I got the book and found the audiobook.

I had 2 Miami MA events this week. The one on Tuesday was a Business presentation and last night was a Shopping Annuity presentation. Both were great! I wasn’t aware that the Business presentation had added a shopping annuity overview. And the Shopping Annuity presentation blew me away. My guest was completely impressed and next week I will be presenting the business plan with her and 2 friends. Why would someone turn down a free service that completely benefits them by stretching their income? *completely confused* Start Today!

Wednesday night I had a Mastermind event. While there I was talking with someone who told me that I should have quick entries everyday as I experience something new daily. And it may relate with you the reader and/or inspire you in one way or another to act towards your goals.

Tonight I have a social dinner to attend and tomorrow there is a goal setting and keeping on track event. I enjoy meeting new people and am so entertained when I have Aha moments. Enjoy the videos and register to Convert your Spending into Earning no matter where you live!

New Year’s Resolutions

New Year’s Resolutions

This year has been a world of change for us.

In April Keegan did the swim leg of a triathlon. In May we went to Jamaica for a swim meet with the Flying Fish Swim Club. My son graduated from middle school and started high school. In September Miami Dade College closed its pool to the public meaning we had to leave and no longer swim under the name Flying Fish. He loves his school, his program and swimming for his school.

In February I got bronchitis again. In April at the triathlon I got a severe case of poison oak and left my job. In May I got to go back to Jamaica for the first time in 21 years. I enjoyed seeing friends and family. In June I was able to go to Vegas for Insanity Bootcamp that changed my views of network marketing. The section that resonated with me the most was:

People respond to your campaign, you, THEN your business opportunity.

I first started with Put Health Back in Healthcare, which then expanded to Building Better Communities. I am happy that Market America is so diverse that I’m able to work with various professionals – veterinarians, health professionals, financial advisers, new musical artists, makeup artists, business owners, gym owners and instructors, to name a few – but then I also get to work with entrepreneurs and people who want a change in their lives. I love what I am doing.

With this summary of the year, yesterday I saw the TedTalks of Dr Joel Fuhrman. It reminded me of my New Year’s Resolution for a 85-90% plant based diet. I went to the library and borrowed his book Eat to Live and am now a quarter way through the book which also touches on another resolution to read a book a month. I’m now talking to anyone who will listen to me about what I do and my goals which is another resolution of being a Positive Force in the community.

I love how the experiences of the past couple years have made me able to succeed in changing my life to fulfill these resolutions. I still have a few resolutions to live out: Leading by Example, Helping Others Succeed, Becoming Financially Free, and Traveling the World. And know that the actions I’m doing now will help me reach those in the near future.

Desires and Fear

Desires and Fear

When one begins a new endeavor there is a passion, an energy, a calling. However, within a few weeks another feeling come into play… Fear. A few fears are that someone will criticize, that you may fail, or that people will turn against you. The fear that I battle with every day is the fear of succeeding – growing away from the friends that I have and them resenting me, having new responsibilities when I’m finally understanding and feeling comfortable with the ones I have, and feeling isolated.

The rational part of my brain is looking at these reasons and worked through them – many of my friends are struggling, so I either need to set a successful example or I need a new set of people to associate with. I enjoy challenges and when I work for someone else I relish in giving myself new responsibilities. And I am around people for half of the day who enjoy my company and me just for being me – these are the swim parents, PTSA moms and music parents.

I desire to change the world and have my name be known… not so much me but my name. I want to help the next generation to be aware of better ways to live their lives and reach their dreams. I want to inspire people to LIVE BIG! I want to be known as the person who enjoys helping people and makes a positive difference in others lives. I want to be known as the person who gives others an honest opportunity and works with them to succeed. I want to be know as the person who builds large royalty incomes for non profit organizations while helping health professionals, veterinarians, business owners, entrepreneurs, financial planners, and budding artists earn a secondary income while enhancing their current occupations.

Building a Better Community – Fundraising Assistance

As a single mom with a very engaged teen I have many obligations to participate in fundraisers. Embracing My Reality

Do you wake up every morning with a spring in your step, eager to face the world? Or were you like me who hated my job, had to bear an 45 minute commute and deal with the office politics, drab ambiance and negative attitudes? I really didn’t like what I was doing as I didn’t feel challenged or like I was making a difference in my community.

I had settled for this reality for too long. I took a leap of faith on network marketing. Losing my way there also. I enjoyed the public speaking, the helping others build extra income, and the talking with random people. What I didn’t like was seeing a person need help but was too afraid to take it, believe that they had “job security”, and think that network marketing was just about retail.

In the past couple weeks I’ve embraced my true purpose in life and reality. I’m a visionary and leader. Eric Worre had taught me in his Insanity Bootcamp that people look at me then my campaign THEN my business opportunity. I love helping others and making a positive difference that can me measured. Thankfully have found a few divisions within my company that allows me to build my community.
