I know I was raised to get a good education, get a good paying job and I will be happy. I found this not to be true.
I got a bachelor in business and a master in IT. Most of the time I had to dumb down my resume to even be considered for a position, then when I got the job I out grew it within months. My mind was different than most of my coworkers. I learned what I had to do, then I would look at how the system worked. My way of thinking is make the system as effective and efficient as possible. This didn’t go over well most of the time. Many supervisors thought I was trying to take their position… furthest thing from my mind. Also when I lost the feeling of accomplishment or saw that they preferred to be redundant and obsolete I had to leave.
I need to feel like I am making a difference in other people’s lives. My favorite position to date was when I went door to door as “acquisitions” and customer service for a telecommunication company. Their new service was becoming available in small pockets of the county. I was the person to introduce customers to the new product and make sure they were satisfied with what they currently had. I loved training my co-workers, meeting people at their homes, and helping them save money after looking over their bills and making them aware of their service and spending. One customer saved over $150 per month with this new program and looking up the number instead of calling 411. Not everyone was open to the new service and I was only yelled at once – by a man who told me to come back.
I was honest and told people when what they currently had was the best they could afford. I got phone calls thanking me by their families for being so honest. I was the face of customer service in the areas that I oversaw. I held this position over 6 years ago and sometimes will run into someone that I had visited. I was impressed that those I ran into remembered my name and truly cared about my well being. Just recollecting the artist at a Arts Festival in South Miami or a woman at Costco brings me to tears knowing that I made such an impact that they remembered me so long after I had visited them at their homes.
I feel that this is the answer to my life questions. How can I best serve my community? How can I truly make a positive difference?
While meditated for guidance I wasn’t aware that I received anything but woke the next day suddenly deciding to visit my grandmother. Upon entering the cemetery I found my center.
I remember almost every time I talk to my son about doing “Random Acts of Kindness”, not for the thanks and praise but because he knows it is the right thing to do. I’ve seen/heard of him do little things for people: going into a pool between races to get goggles for a little girl whose goggle fell off during her race, giving directions to his substitute bus driver, to name a couple. As I tell him, my job as a parent isn’t to be his friend but to make sure he grows up to be a Great Man and Leader AND an Upstanding Citizen of the Planet.

This morning I got a Public Speaking invitation out of the blue! Law of Attraction at work!
This quote ALWAYS speaks to me! It motivates and inspires me to keep moving forward. Hope this helps you be successful in your life.
Do you have an idea of what it is you want? Not how much money you would like, but what would you be/do/have if you had the money. This is my main goal board. It is over my bed so that it is the first thing I look at in the morning and the last thing I focus on before I fall asleep. Over time some pictures get covered by “better pictures”.
I would recommend taking some time, find pictures from online, magazines, brochures, etc and put together your goal board. Make it a fun activity and don’t limit yourself.
You have goals in life. Don’t let someting like inconvenience hold you back. Dream BIG and move towards it AT ALL COST!
Saturday at 9:30a is a sacrifice that Keegan takes to hone his skills.
Decisions and steady focus will get you to achieving your goals. Practice and Guidance will get you there faster.

Today was another Fantastic Day. I found 3 people who are interested in certain aspects of my business and want me to contact them. Then I got to spend most of the day at the second day of Conference! I got to reconnect with friends whom I haven’t seen since International Conference in August. Being that Conference is going on by the time I come home and get ready for bed before typing my blog may seem a bit too impersonal. Please just read and get the message and I promise by next weekend you will “see” my happy bubbly self again. I’m just suffering Brain Fry with SO MUCH Info being crammed in my head at Conference.
The reason that I brought all that up is that I won’t be able to go on the last day because my son has his first meet of the season and he needs qualifying times. Someone told me that there was NO reason BIG Enough to miss a day. I have been thinking about that. My son is the reason that I’m with this company. He was the driving force for me learning what I know and specializing in nMx. He also listens to my presentations and talks to people about contacting me for more time and financial freedom. He is my Why!
Today I was talking to a friend and we brought up closings. After telling her our #1 money earner’s close “How soon would you like to be making money with this company?”, but what if the person isn’t motivated by money? I said the best close that I use is “Whose dream are you working towards?” As a marketer my goal is to find out what the person wants or needs, and then give them the solution.
Being that most people have just been lulled by the ins and outs of going to work, coming home, watching tv and going to bed, repeat not many have really stopped to think “What is your why for living?“, “What are you passions?” and “What makes you get up excited in the morning?“
Today I was listening to one of my Jr Partners. He commented that he wished he was as confident as me when it came to talking to strangers where ever we were. I told him that he should just smile and say hello. If the person was rude who the hell cares as he wasn’t likely to see them again. He then said that in his past, he had an experience that really upset him. “Everyone has had a bad experience somewhere in their past” I said and that he needs to release many of the hurts of his past. Then I asked Could you imagine if you were in a boat tied to the dock, how far do you think you could go? Just like the rope stopping the boat, one’s fears hold them back… just cut the ropes. Feel the Fear and Do It Anyway (Susan Jeffers). Life isn’t going to end, but a person courageous enough to start just needs to keep taking the next step.
Today was a very exciting day! It was the first day of Conference here in Miami in the American Airlines Arena… Home to the Miami Heat! Amazing people from all over the US, Canada, Mexico, Spain, UK, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Singapore, New Zealand and Australia. The talked about Motives Cosmetics, Isotonix, Conquer Entertainment, New Products and Tools. We got to see Loren Ridinger, La La Anthony, the Motives Mavens, Carmelo Anthony, Fat Joe, and Jamie Foxx. AND to make the day over the top were the Wonderful Friends who I’ve met because of this company in my home town!
